Édifice

Édifice is a participatory comics publisher. No overproduction: we print on demand thanks to participatory financing. A model that not only preserves the environment, but also enables us to better remunerate our authors. My name is Julie Pommier, I'm 23 and I've just graduated from a master's degree in publishing and communications. So I've been studying and working in the book world for 5 years now. In 5 years, I've seen some interesting things, but I've also noticed the number of problems that could easily be solved, with a little motivation.

In 5 years, I've discovered a passion for publishing. And in 5 years, I also realized that I was an entrepreneur at heart. That's why I founded Édifice, a publishing house specialized in comics and participatory publishing. I've been working on this project for over a year and a half now. My hope is that this venture will have an impact on the publishing world, whether by making readers react or by making big publishers think about certain practices that I feel need to be improved.
