Efecto Colibri: Stories of Change Makers

In 2019, Ana Amrein co-founded Efecto Colibri with a groundbreaking vision: to make social innovation the norm. This ambitious initiative is built on a simple yet profound belief—stories have the power to regenerate. The narratives we share and consume shape our understanding of the world, fostering empathy and transforming beliefs and behaviors.

Efecto Colibri is more than just a podcast platform; it's a movement that creates new narratives to foster positive change. By producing and distributing content, they aim to mobilize a just, diverse, and regenerative reality. Their mission is to provide access to knowledge, connections, and positioning for social innovators who often find themselves excluded from mainstream market opportunities.

Supporting Early Stage Social Entrepreneurs

Efecto Colibri primarily benefits early-stage social entrepreneurs and innovators in Europe and Latin America, helping them reach their clients and connect with fellow entrepreneurs.

Each year, over 100 social innovators reach out to Efecto Colibri, seeking connections within the social impact ecosystem and opportunities to boost their visibility. Efecto Colibri supports these entrepreneurs by sharing content  about their projects and facilitating networking opportunities with organizations that can help them grow.

To date, Efecto Colibri has given a voice to over 550 change makers. Stories that have impacted a global community of colibríes (hummingbirds in Spanish), people who believe in positive change.

The Power of Creating Positive Narratives

Ana Amrein profoundly states, “What stories do you listen to? What stories do you tell yourself? Most people don't know how to talk to themselves with kindness, with respect, with patience. If we don't know how to treat ourselves in a loving way, it is difficult to know how to treat others and the environment with respect.”

In today’s polarized world, it's crucial to be mindful of the content we consume. Everything we read, listen to, and watch shapes our beliefs and identity, both consciously and subconsciously. Efecto Colibri creates narratives that build bridges instead of barriers, inspire positive change instead of planting anxiety and hopelessness.

Stories regenerate. They transform our understanding and perception of the world, bringing us closer to different realities and teaching us empathy. The more diverse our conversations and the voices we listen to, the greater the potential for individual and collective regeneration.
